Thessaloniki Open
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Chess Club “Chess Academy of Thessaloniki Galaxias” announces the International Open Chess Tournament Thessaloniki 2010”, which will be held with open participation and nine (9) rounds Swiss system. The tournament will be held in Hotel Grand Hotel Palace, Thessaloniki, from April 5 to 11 2010. The tournament will be held with time control for each player regulations 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the Game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1. The FIDE system rules are valid. The tournament will be FIDE rated.

PLAYING GROUPS:
A Group: Players with FIDE Rating over 1800
B Group: Players with FIDE Rating till 2000 and players without FIDE Rating (players with rating 1800-2000 can choose between the two groups).
