International Open Alexander The Great 2013

The 5th International Open Chess Tournament Alexander The Great 2013 is set to take place from 7th to 12th May, 2013, in the “Porto Carras Grand Resort” on the seaside of Halkidiki, Northern Greece.

The tournament will be held concurrently with the World School Chess Championships 2013 in the same playing venue.

The tournament will be with open participation and concluded over 7 rounds of Swiss system. The total prize fund is 3000 euros (2400 euros for the general standings and 600 euros for women standings).

Time control: for each player 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from the 1st move.
